It was an epic and fun match to watch. I grew up watching the intense battles involving Agassi and Sampras who is one of my all time favorite athletes, and this match rivaled both the atmosphere and competitive spirit of those times.
I admired Sampras growing up, and since he retired, I've latched on to Federer because he reminded me of Pete in a few ways. Many have written him off, as the Golden boy Nadal racked up many wins during his phenomenal run. However, Federer has proven that he can still continue to play at an incredibly high level. He can now sit atop where no one else can and what a way to bookmark a chapter.
