The Champion Of Relevance

I've been hiding away in the trenches of my mind peeping through the crack of the curtain, wondering if it's safe for me to come to the forefront. Truth is, I had to sensor some of my own thoughts in order to keep peace with the other side of my mind, which is forever peaceful. However, I will interrupt the scheduled programming with this inner interlude I've been sketching behind closed doors.

Why do we do what we do? That's a pretty broad question, but I will add some meat to it, buy adding "Why do we do what we do on Social Media?"

Depending on the individual, the answers may vary and in some cases they may not even know how to answer because they've already been hijacked off of the highway of Independence and into the "rat race" marathon.

Living in the moment is fine, but when you're using social media to expose your body in ways to elicit sexual responses, or you know those that can't get enough of themselves so they brag ceremoniously about their endeavors almost as if they're trying to drive home a point subliminally that hey "I told you I would make it" "Look how cool I am and how cool you aren't". Did we forget somehow that a large part of the world are poor, jobless, suffering and struggling to find where their meals will come from? A favorable portion of the human race are in the minority and would rather uplift and exchange pleasantries and positive vibes and ideas pertaining to opportunities. We hear the term networking getting used almost mechanically in life and on social media, but is it really real? I laugh at the idea of networking when a solid percentage throw that term around as a buffer to "get in" a circle or circle of love rather and all else.

Now we're using social media to plan crimes on folks, women practically posing nude for their own advancement or folks hacking into their friends or foes lifestyles in order to expose them for fun... or is it for fun? Why can't the majority of folks and self-proclaimed leaders and trend setters use social media to promote world peace, pick each other up, share advice and life experiences that will spark change, growth? Why does every tweet, every Facebook status message have the feel of a title card fight in which we're sparing against each other in order to see who will be crowned "Champion of Relevance"?

We must remember that what we consume can directly AND indirectly redirect our focus, corrupt our morals, our standing with peers and family and so on. Of course, like a great tasting ice cream and a batch of cookies, it's great for the moment, but not necessarily over the course of time.

Let's reflect on the things that matter in life. If you read the book of Ecclesiastes in the good book, you will soon realize that all of the superficial things in life we so crave for under the sun, means nothing in the end as it has ZERO worth.

Lets pick each other up, promote peace and less violence, strive to help others and share love, kindness and positive words. We're all in this together after all, so lets make our time on this earth worthwhile.

Remember, not everything you do in life needs to be for public consumption. Privacy is golden.

Yours Truly,
