The Fog

"Fog is a temporary state to which the mind is suppressed due to a low level of perspective in the given moment." I'm quoting myself with the above, but it's a thought I had as I was enamored with the picturesque, yet perplexing vision of the skyline of the fog as I was jogging along the Hudson river, realizing too that it is a beautifully dangerous disguise. I can say that I've had my share of bouts with having a foggy outlook in given moments due to things not happening as quickly as I would love them to or on my timetable. I'm sure you have as well. However, what being in the fog does, is it thoroughly exercises our faith, our lot in life and even forces us to take a hard look at whether we are basking in the rays of light to which gratitude provides. If I were to give one bit of advice to anyone, it would be to aspire to be the greatest version of yourself , despite whether you get recognition or not. What I've realized now more than ever in this day and age is, we are living our lives out loud. We are living to gain praise and recognition because that is the norm in society today with all the social media outlets that allow us the voice and landscape to brand ourselves. We sometimes lose sight of who we are and we too lose sight of the myriad of people that work hard doing what they love, but also doing things that are of the best interest of our society as a whole. The people that deserve all that is good in the world, often times are the ones whom are forgotten about sadly. Such people are overlooked and under appreciated because they don't draw attention to themselves. An Artist's Life

Whenever someone asks me what I do for a living, I confidently say "I'm an inspiring Actor"... Not an aspiring Actor. I find that our path in life, our journey is an inspiring testimony, not one road ever being the same as the other. Others may flourish more than their counterparts and peers, but that doesn't by any means minimize your journey and all the steps you've taken to attain some kind of personal success. I say inspiring Actor because I believe that as Artist's, God placed us on this earth to create, to empathize or to teach empathy, to BE without any constraints which we put on ourselves when peeking at the lives of those who live and work other professions which greatly differ from ours. What we have as an Artist is our work and our imagination and sometimes that doesn't pay or create an enthusiastic response when we disclose to others our line of work.
