Juicing It Up

Starting from where I left off with my Obesity column @http://mwangiscenterstage.blogspot.com/2011/05/obesity-in-usa.html, I want to now talk about a few potential additions to your kitchen appliances, that will aid in a healthy lifestyle. Last year around this time, I invested in one of Montell Williams line of 'Living Well' appliances..The Health Master. It's a great blender that essentially allows you to blend everything aside from bricks, metal or steel. I, being as interested in health almost to the point of obsession, began blending an array of veggie and fruit drink combinations as an experiment. The results were fantastic and most of all I saved a TON OF MONEY. Money I would have spent buying 'Naked' fruit juices or any other line of juices deemed as worthy. Now before you think this is a plug for Montell, think again.

The Summer is right around the corner and we've already began taking inventory on what foods to stay away from as some of us will become seasonal vegetarians in order to uphold our physique, to those that just want to cleanse during the Summer period and look 'good'.

I feel that in order to boost your vitality, you must invest more time in yourself, instead of operating seasonally. Fruits in bunches are a great natural way of not only keeping in shape, but keeping healthy. If eating several servings of fruit a day seems like an unconquerable challenge, do as I did and invest in a Blender OR a Juicer (LOWES, TARGET, WALMART). With a Juicer, you can create your own juice remedies and store it in bulk, so that you refrain from buying those sugary juices in the 'Health' aisle that cost the same amount for a bundle of parsley, a handful of grapefruits, a case of strawberries and a few apples.

Think health, and your body will work overtime for you.

Yours Truly,
Sam
