In the 1994 NBA draft, the Dallas Mavericks select.... Jason Kidd. I was young during the early 90's, but had a great deal of passion for NBA basketball back then. He came into the league with much fanfare, a wizard with the basketball, making plays reminiscent of the man he was often compared to.. Ervin "Magic" Johnson. The one knock that plagued Kidd was that he couldn't shoot the ball if his life depended on it. Athletes are hyper competitive, and I would venture to say that he spent countless hours in the gym rectifying his stroke in order to quiet the critics.
17 years later, not only is he widely regarded as one of the greatest all-around point guards ever, but he learned how to impact the game from behind the arc, which is attributed to all of his hard work..
Jason Kidd #3 all-time in 3point FG's made. Bravo!
